Tufted Ducks and Coot,
Charcoal, ink and pastel on paper, 56.5 cm x 38 cm
Another lockdown drawing - made on the shores of Duddingston Loch in Holyrood Park. A lively place full of water birds which are well habituated to humans. Tufted ducks are such characterful birds and I loved the shapes they made on the water, along with their reflections. I was surprised to see a Coot, which are often aloof birds, joining the group!
