Winter News

Its been a busy few months! I was pleased to have 3 pieces accepted for the annual SWLA exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London during November. This is the first time I have shown with this organisation which showcases wildlife artists, I submitted two of my Bass Rock Gannet monotypes and my Treecreeper screenprint.

I have been busy working away in the studio to make pieces for my Red Barn Gallery work, including this unusual format piece depicting coots and their babies which was great fun to do.

The show opens on Wednesday 28th November and I will be there with mulled wine and mince pies on Saturday 22nd December from 2pm - 4pm. Its a body of work I'm really pleased with so it will be interesting to see how it is received by the good people of Cumbria.

In amongst all of this I have been nominated as a Professional member of Visual Arts Scotland and my Dipper screen print is going to be on the front cover of Resurgence magazine in January - look out for it from mid-December!

I also have work over winter in the following places: Gallery Heinzel, Aberdeen; Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh; Marchmont Gallery, Edinburgh and Studio 222, Newburgh.

I was delighted to get involved in the Ghosts of Gone Birds project which I have been following with interest for some time. You can read about what I did for them on my blog here.

Happy Festive Season everyone!
