Summer News

This finds me at the end of a busy spring season and at the beginning of an equally busy summer so I will try to be concise!

Flying Creatures Exhibition at Leith School of Art

Many thanks to everyone who made the time to come and see this. I'm delighted with how it has gone and it was very nice to see so much of my work shown together in my place of work.

Birds in Print at Little Salkeld Watermill, Cumbria

I am looking forward to being there at the Preview for my annual exhibition here. It opens on the evening of Saturday 22nd June from 7pm to 9pm and is on until the end of the summer. As always refreshments will be provided and good company guaranteed!

Back in Edinburgh...

Maker of the Month at Concrete Wardrobe

I am very pleased to be Maker of the Month during the month of August at my favourite shop in Edinburgh - Concrete Wardrobe.

Open Studios at Coburg House Studios

This will be taking place from Friday 2nd August to Sunday 4th August, 11am - 6pm each day. The opening night will take place on the Friday evening, its always fun so please come if you're free!

I have it on good authority that a few of my prints are on display currently at the wonderful Hornseys' Gallery in Ripon, always worth a visit if you're in Yorkshire! They have recently purchased the Short Eared Owl monotype seen in my spring news for their gallery too.

In other news - I am excited to be joining the Seabird Drawing Course for just two days this year so watch this space to see what I produce.

I have also been selected to take part in a collaborative exhibition between Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop and the Scottish Poetry Library. This exciting opportunity pairs printmakers with poets and the work that gets produced will be exhibited over the winter at Edinburgh Printmakers. I have been paired with Glasgow-based poet, Vicki Husband, and we are still in the initial discussion stages but I am excited to see what we end up creating between us!

Best wishes for a good summer.
