Autumn News

As I write this the weather is definitely taking a turn towards autumn, the light has been lovely over the last few weeks and I'm looking forward to lots of migrant birds arriving for winter. As always, there's a lot going on over the next few weeks and months, do get in touch if you'd like to know any more...

This Tuesday I will be heading up to Ullapool for a few days to hang my work in preparation for the An Talla Solais Annual Members' Show. I am an invited artist alongside Susan McSweeney. The show opens on Friday 28th September and runs until 13th October 2013.

During October I will be showing my work at Bon Papillon - a lovely gallery space with café attached in the New Town, Edinburgh. Well worth a visit!

The Natural Eye exhibition:

I have had five pieces of work selected for the annual Society of Wildlife Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. I am hoping to go down for the preview of the show on Wednesday 30th October which will be officially opened by Sir David Attenborough.

The Written Image: I've been involved with a project between Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop and the Scottish Poetry Library in which I have been collaborating with a poet. I've been working with Glasgow-based poet Vicki Husband and it has been a really interesting experience. My part of the project is just about to get under way and the results will go on display at Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop at the preview from 3pm - 5pm on Saturday 15th November with the show running until Saturday 21st December.

Art of Nature - the annual Macmillan Art Exhibition, Bonhams, Edinburgh. I am delighted to have submitted two pieces of work for this worthwhile cause alongside a list of fantastic Scottish artists. The work will be on show at Bonhams from 21st to 24th November, it promises to be a strong and interesting exhibition.

And finally for now - don't forget to keep the dates of Coburg House Open Studios free - I'll be there with lots of things for sale over the weekend of 6th - 8th December - see you there!
